Courage Is Power! Introduction

I haven’t quite completed this painting. The wolf is only in the underpainting stage.  As a part of my painting process I take time to consider if I feel a spiritual connection with my work. If not, then I won’t complete it. I have a purpose for every painting, but if I can’t feel it, I make whatever changes are necessary.

I believe this gives viewers the ability to see something personal in my paintings, something that has meaning in it for themselves, from their point of view.  Even a cute picture of a duckling or a kitten can have some inner connection to capture something special or inspirational.

Courage Is Power For Everyone

The lush forest in this picture is the backdrop for a young and magnificent wolf who feels his strength and confidence harmonizing to grant him a moment of power.  His reality tells him that he is the strongest animal in the forest and that he can battle his enemies and win.  However, he has yet to discover the transformative power of his courage that will influence the rest of his life.

The wolf, taking a bold stance with purpose and determination to survive the enemy, is parallel to what each of us face everyday.  Whether it’s facing personal fears or navigating through the difficulties of life, we all have a choice to overcome or be overcome by the circumstances of life. It takes, courage to do this, but that courage comes when we identify our fears and take action against them.

Times come when we must express our true strength and take a powerful leap of faith in God to overcome the storms of life. We can confront the shadows that threaten to consume our world by living a life of God’s truth that empowers and frees the heart to acommplish whatever we need to have or become.

Therefore, courage doesn’t have to be illusive. The true power of courage, is not about being fearless, because we all experience fear, but it’s how we regard it. As we reach within ourselves for the God-given empowerment that belongs to us by faith, we can overcome any obstacle that stands in our way according to Mark 11:24.

How glorious a message this is to us all. This means that our lives can be symbols of power, courage, and unwavering determination, even when we experience fear. As we shift to our faith and trust in God, we can and will experience victory.

Conclusion

I would like “Courage is Power” to serve as a reminder to all who view it that true bravery is not measured by the absence of fear, but by the strength to face it head-on with faith in God to take over where our strength seems to end. We all have fear at times, but it doesn’t have to destroy our joy and keep us from realizing victory.

Therefore, as we face our fears, we’re able to discover a strength within ourselves we never knew existed. We have the ability to conquer the difficulties of life one step at a time or all at once if necessary by faith.
